home is where you call home. and you can have two.
I haven’t written much lately. I fear that the reasoning for this has been out of shear cowardliness than anything else. Putting things in print seem to solidify the reality of it all, more so than merely speaking words. Words from mouths feel worthless. Text captures more.  All this to say, I have no idea where to start. Quarter life crisis? Sure. I’ll begin there and work myself...

I'll save the whine for my cheese.
Update. (a bit less melodramatic. sorry, folks. I’ll save the whine for my cheese.) Speaking of cheese. Current obsession: ALL THINGS BRIE. Definitely running my behind off due to the amount of bread and cheese I’ve been craving/consuming. A few words. Californian words. - got a job. worked 4 days. got a promotion. BAM. WHAT’S UP CALIFORNIA? - fainted outside of Pink’s...

Obama announces full withdrawal from Iraq →
hacerramblings: President Obama confirmed plans to have all U.S. troops out of Iraq by Jan. 1, formally ending the war that began more than eight-and-a-half years ago and has taken more than 4,400 American lives. Please try to tell me he’s not incredible or that he’s done “nothing” in his presidency. BAM!

an open letter to Harper Rose; our bi-coastal babe
Harper Rose Hall Born September 6, 2011 9lb. 4oz.  Our little southern belle born on the west coast.  I cannot fight the urge to burst into either Katy Perry’s and/or The Beach Boys’ California Girls upon looking at those big blue eyes. Sweet Baby Harper- you’re sure to be a heart breaker. I hope you one day realize that you have the best of both coasts, and I hope you can...

tell me about it, Rod Stewart; a photo blog...
Every picture tells a story, don’t it? Recently I’ve found myself looking through several of my pictures on my computer (and facebook). I’ve been looking through these pictures, remembering each exact moment (well… er… kinda remembering some) that goes hand in hand with each picture. I haven’t been looking through these pictures out of sadness or loneliness...

Get drunk One should always be drunk. That's all that matters; that's our one imperative need. So as not to feel Time's horrible burden one which breaks your shoulders and bows you down, you must get drunk without cease. But with what? With wine, poetry, or virtue as you choose. But get drunk. And if, at some time, on steps of a palace, in the green grass of a ditch, in the bleak solitude of...

as of late.
I woke up today feeling different. Perhaps it’s the whole sleeping until 7:46am today instead of the 6:30am I’ve experienced the last 2 days. Or perhaps it’s because the constant state of anxiety hasn’t plagued me nearly as much in the last few days… or week… really I haven’t been keeping track. I’m becoming more comfortable being with myself-...
